Oslo, Norway, 21 April 2022 – The German Material Procurement Agency, BAAINBw has through an international competitive procedure awarded Teleplan Globe the contract to provide the German Armed Forces with the FACNAV system for Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC).
A total of 55 systems are to be provided, with deliveries starting this year.
Teleplan Globe assumes the role as the system integrator and provides the FACNAV JTAC system as a turnkey delivery, including all sensors, end-user devices, aircraft video-downlink receivers, and other accessories as well as the necessary Integrated Logistics Support (ILS). The contract establishes a long-term relationship between Teleplan Globe and the Bundeswehr to include users in the German Special Forces, the Army and the Air Force.

Finalizing the agreement after a thorough trial and testing period just proves the importance of high-quality software in units at the pinnacle of modern military operations. Assisted by our German partner, Schönhofer SSE, we have been selected through several rounds of software testing and implementation of specific requirements from the end users. This has taken place remotely and locally in Germany.”

The deliveries will commence in 2022, with final deliveries early 2023. The delivery plan will be adapted and tailored to fit the operational needs of the end users.
The core element in the JTAC System is the combat proven FACNAV DACAS software. As the system integrator, Teleplan Globe is also assuming the responsibility of including all the necessary hardware and software components and deliver the total solution to the customer and the end user.
Teleplan Globe has created a strong team of partners, and will cooperate with Safran Vectronix, L3Harris Technologies, Glenair, Acal BFi (Getac), Aeronix, Thermoteknix , Norsegear, Watershed and Roke. Together with these partners we will work closely together to provide a cutting-edge capability in a time and cost-effective manner for the end-user.
Teleplan Globe is an experienced provider of interoperable Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS) since 2007. FACNAV provides a fully digitized workflow from sensor to shooter and is combat proven. It is in use by several NATO nations both in conventional as well as special forces units. Teleplan Globe can provide the FACNAV JTAC system as a turnkey delivery, including all necessary sensors, end-user devices, aircraft video-downlink receivers and other necessary accessories including documentation, training and other necessary Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).
